Thanks to the dogged determination of UGA alumni and supporters across the state, we sold 3,000 vouchers for a UGA specialty license plate in Florida!

The plates have been produced for those who purchased vouchers and were shipped to County Tax Collector Office prior to Friday, April 7, 2023. To pick up your plate, no documentation is needed other than your driver’s license. The plate voucher(s) you purchased are associated with your driver license record.

What needs to happen for me to get a UGA license plate on my car in Florida?

In order for a UGA specialty license plate to be produced in the state of Florida, 3,000 plate vouchers needed to be sold—and this has occurred!

Does UGA benefit from the sale of specialty license plates in Florida?

Per state law, Florida does not provide any financial compensation to the university when offering UGA specialty license plates. But having thousands of drivers with UGA license plates is great for branding the university in the Sunshine State—and we love that! Go Dawgs!
