Show your pride, Bulldogs, and support the University of Georgia by securing a UGA license plate. For every UGA license plate in the state of Georgia, there is a $10 annual gift that supports student scholarships. See below for a list of other states offering a UGA plate. If you have questions, please email alumni@uga.edu.
Please note: The UGA Alumni Association is not accepting requests for out-of-state campaigns now or in the future. We do not have a timeline for when we will be able to pursue license plates in other states. In the meantime, you can showcase your Bulldog pride with a state decal, which also benefits scholarships at UGA.
Georgia
When you register for a UGA license plate in the state of Georgia, you are helping raise money for need-based scholarships on campus. For each UGA specialty tag on the road, $10 annually funds scholarships through the UGA Foundation. To receive donor recognition for your support, please be sure to opt in to share your information with UGA when you register for the plate.
Florida
We did it, Bulldogs! 3,000 plate vouchers were sold and a UGA specialty license plate is available in the state of Florida!
Tennessee
Thanks to the dogged determination of passionate Tennessee Bulldogs, a UGA specialty plate is now available in Tennessee.
Alabama
The Alabama license plate was made available to residents in 2016. All questions should be directed to the Alabama Department of Revenue.
South Carolina
When you register for a UGA license plate in the state of South Carolina, a portion of your tag fee will go to the UGA Foundation to support university initiatives.
Texas
When you obtain a UGA license plate in Texas, the university benefits from the royalty agreements that protect the university’s trademarks.
North Carolina
The university does not receive a financial benefit when drivers secure a UGA license plate in North Carolina, but each plate on the road helps increase UGA’s visibility outside Georgia.
