About our Panelists
Emily Thomson (ABJ ’11) has served in a myriad of roles at Chick-fil-A over the last decade since graduation from Grady. She began in internal communications, leading the enhancement of the intranet and developing an accompanying mobile app, to then moving to customer-facing product strategy, managing Chick-fil-A’s domestic and international web properties. Today, Emily serves as Sr. Product Lead for Digital Ordering and Commerce. She’s responsible for identifying future ordering channels for the brand, and elevating the customer digital menu experience across all platforms, including third-party partners. Emily is certified in Web Conversion (George Mason University), Scrum Product Ownership (Scrum Alliance), and will complete her Business Foundations Specialization (Wharton) later this summer. She lives in Marietta with her husband Ben, and daughter Vivian.
Emily Hertz (ABJ ’08) is an Atlanta-based, NYC-born lifestyle blogger with a passion for party styling and an affinity for all things beautiful. Upon having her daughter, the former Director of Marketing at Spanx stepped out on her own to launch Born on Fifth, an aesthetically-driven site and accompanying social channel which highlights Emily’s favorite fashion, entertaining ideas and tot-friendly finds. Emily has been featured by Who What Wear, Lauren Conrad, Glitter Guide, 100 Layer Cakelet, The Atlantan, Atlanta Magazine’s Home and on the cover of Mingle Magazine. Inspired by her bow-loving daughter and the impending arrival of her baby boy, Emily most recently launched Bows & Blue, a curated shop featuring lovely layers for home and life. Bows & Blue has been featured by House Beautiful and Veranda. This Spring, Emily launched her first clothing collection in collaboration with Dillard’s under the Born on Fifth label. Emily resides in Atlanta with her husband Michael, children Eloise and Jennings and Cavalier King Charles, Birdie.
