Christopher Belk (AB ’05)

Chris Belk is the Co-Owner and Founder of Saucehouse BBQ, the new BBQ empire on Broad Street in Athens, GA. Chris is a political science grad, with a large entrepreneurial spirit. The idea for his business started small and has grown to include a catering business and a fast-casual restaurant and bar. For more information about Saucehouse, please visit their website.

Christie Haynes (AB ’10)

Christie Haynes is the president of the Dawson County Chamber of Commerce and Office of Tourism Development. Christie was named to UGA’s list of 40 Under 40 in 2012, and just recently received the 2016 Young Alumni Award from UGA’s Alumni Association. Christie is a past president of SPIA’s Alumni Board and continues to take an active part of the School’s alumni engagement efforts.

Julie Smith (AB ’00)

Julie Smith is Vice President of External Affairs for Verizon Communications. Julie is responsible for directing charitable contributions, community involvement and government affairs for Verizon in 20 states. Julie is a member of the SPIA Board of Visitors and is an incredible asset to the School. To learn more about Verizon, visit their website.

 

David Stein (AB ’06)

David Stein is the Head Brewer/Co-Founder of the Athens brewery sensation, Creature Comforts. David is a political science and history grad who turned his passion from a hobby into a successful business.
