Ever wonder why some leaders and organizations succeed and others do not? As a mentor how can we tap into this success? In this webinar we will explore Simon Sinek’s concept of “Start with Why” and reflect on “Why” we mentor and how our purpose plays a role in how we interact with our mentees/protégés. This session will also discuss how to apply this framework to help our mentee/protégé to identify their “Why”.

Dr. Kristi Farner is a Program and Staff Development Specialist for Cooperative Extension in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences at the University of Georgia. Her educational background includes a bachelor and master degrees in Child and Family Development and a doctorate in Adult Education from UGA. Dr. Farner’s research interests include mentoring, facilitating adult learning, and organizational development. Throughout her career she has worked with organizational change and creating new programs in a variety of ways. In her current position she running the onboarding mentor program for Extension Agents. In her free time, she enjoys attending sporting events and outdoor activities with her husband, Keith, and playing with her Bassett Hound, Earl.
