Being a Bulldog means giving back and this spring UGA alumni chapters across the country will come together for a “Dawg Day of Service” in their local communities.
This year for Dawg Day of Service, the UGA Alumni Association Emerald Coast Chapter will be participating in the Panama City Beach Relay for Life for the 11th consecutive year. Relay For Life is a life-changing event that gives everyone in communities across the globe a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease. Please join us in our celebration of life, and attend our famous luminaria ceremony to honor those who have battled cancer.
The event will be from 6 pm to 12 am, it is free to attend, and all are welcome. There will be games, activities, and music, and this year the Emerald Coast chapter will be conducting an on site fundraiser by selling Shane’s Rib Shack BBQ. Volunteers will also take turns walking laps around the Arnold High School track.
