As associate director of alumni events, Kate Lantz (AB ’14) leads, oversees and assists various large and small scale university-wide events, both on and off campus, connecting Bulldogs across the nation. Prior to her role with the Alumni Association, Kate worked for two and a half years in the university’s Honors Program Development and External Affairs office, where she handled various aspects of Honors special events, publications, development and alumni relations.
Kate was born and raised in the heart of Atlanta, to Midwestern parents who both work at Georgia Tech. Following in her older brother’s footsteps, she left the city for Athens where she pursued a degree in anthropology. While at UGA, she was a member of the university’s club rowing team for four years, serving one year as the women’s captain. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in higher education from UGA’s Institute of Higher Education. She is interested in researching issues related to university club and recreational sports program funding and organization at institutions across the nation. She and her husband Nathan (BS ’09) enjoy traveling, exploring local fare and festivities and taking in all that Athens has to offer.
