Sarah Vincent Sonenberg joined the Office of Alumni Relations in 2018, starting the day after the Rose Bowl win as the Senior Director of Alumni Chapters.  She is responsible for managing the alumni chapters team and increasing the productivity of the alumni chapters program.  She will work on sustaining an alumni chapter structure and will ensure the ongoing recruitment, training and leadership of chapter volunteers.  She will manage strategic partnerships with university departments and units by serving as a liaison to school/college alumni directors and will be responsible for building an outreach plan between campus and chapters.

Sarah has held many roles in both Development and Alumni Relations at the University of Augusta and Emory University. She most recently served as the Development Services Manager at Emory Law School, where she managed the development operations for major gift fundraising, managed donor stewardship, provided operational and strategic support for advisory and alumni boards, and acted as a liaison to Emory’s central development offices, admissions and finance.

Sarah graduated from Georgia College and State University in 2008 with a degree in Communications with an emphasis on Public Relations. As a student, Sarah was an active member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority, serving as President.

Sarah resides in the Five Points neighborhood of Athens with her husband, Wade Sonenberg (BBA ‘03) and daughter, Elise. Sarah and her family enjoy kayaking the Florida Gulf, skiing on fresh powder days, exploring new places and spending time with their two geriatric weimeraners.
