As an associate director of alumni chapters, Kethia Booker Gates (BCFSCS ’12, MEd ‘17) oversees 25 chapter territories around the country. Kethia trains, coaches and encourages committed chapter volunteers to engage their local Bulldog communities through UGA mission-centric programming. She is passionate about helping alumni establish a lifelong connection with UGA by encouraging them to share their time, talents and treasures.
Prior to her role with the Alumni Association, Kethia served as the annual giving and stewardship coordinator for the College of Family and Consumer Sciences. In her 10+ years at UGA, she has worked in admissions, student affairs, academic support, housing and athletics.
Kethia is a proud Double Dawg who earned her bachelor’s degree in human development and family sciences and her master’s degree in college student affairs and administration. While at UGA, she was an active student leader as a C.L.A.S.S. Advocate for Housing, president of Georgia Daze and a recruitment assistant for UGA football. Kethia lives in Athens with her husband, Kenarious Gates (BBA ’14), and their two children. At any given time, you can find her family baking, singing karaoke, playing board games or crafting.
