National Mentoring Day, October 27, falls right in the middle of “spooky season.” In honor of the day and the season, the UGA Mentor Program wants to debunk the myth that mentorship can be scary.

In June, Jack Bauerle, longtime head coach of UGA’s men’s and women’s swimming and diving programs, announced his retirement. While Bauerle’s retirement means that he’ll be seen around the pool deck a little less, his influence can still be felt across the nation through the network of his former swimmers who went on to be coaches themselves.
