Andrew Flaherty (but you can call him Drew) joined the Student Engagement Team in October 2021 as the student engagement coordinator. Today, he serves as the associate director of Alumni Student Engagement. His primary responsibility is overseeing the operations of the Student Alumni Council, a group of undergraduate volunteers who connect fellow students to alumni, philanthropy and traditions at UGA.

Drew graduated from the University of Georgia in May of 2021 with a Master’s degree in Nonprofit Management and Leadership. Originally from Pennsylvania, he graduated in 2016 from West Chester University with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and dual-minors in Accounting and Applied Ethics.

Beyond work, Drew is (aspiring to be) a lifelong runner. He has run four marathons – Seattle, New York City, Philadelphia, and Chicago. His goals include qualifying for Boston and running all six World Majors. He also enjoys drinking a great cup of coffee, hearing live music, taking photos, volunteering, and wandering.
