Kate Newmeyer joined the UGA Alumni Relations staff in August 2015. She is responsible for planning key events, including Founders Day and the Alumni Awards Luncheon, and developing new programming strategies for the Alumni Association. A Virginia native, Kate graduated in 2014 from Christopher Newport University with a degree in business administration and a minor in leadership studies. Following graduation, she moved to Indianapolis, Indiana, for a position in strategic communications and executive affairs in the NCAA’s national office.

Kate is a Navy brat and enjoys anything related to boats and the beach. She looks forward to experiencing all the Classic City and UGA have to offer.
