Biography

Miranda has dedicated her career to advancing education policy and advocating for student success at the highest levels of state government and nonprofit leadership. Beginning her professional journey as Special Assistant to Georgia First Lady Sandra Deal, Miranda went on to serve in key roles under Governors Nathan Deal and Brian Kemp, helping shape significant education initiatives affecting students, teachers and families across Georgia. Today, as Southeast Regional Advocacy Director and Southeast Legislative Director for ExcelinEd and ExcelinEd in Action, she works across multiple states to advance student-centered policies. Throughout her career, she has combined her classroom-based foundation in early childhood education with a passion for public policy, ensuring that legislative decisions reflect the realities faced by educators and students. A proud former Feature Twirler for the Redcoat Band, Miranda remains actively engaged with the university through mentorship, teaching, philanthropy and service, while continuing to champion opportunities that improve educational outcomes for future generations.
