Biography
As Security Counsel at Google, Ellen leads at the intersection of global technology, privacy, security and law. A graduate of the University of Georgia School of Law, she has built a career spanning federal service, high-stakes litigation and international legal strategy, advising on complex data disclosure, security and privacy matters across jurisdictions around the globe.
Her commitment to UGA remains central to her work. She serves as a UGA Law adjunct professor teaching cybercrime and mentors students interested in public service and technology law. Previously, she served on the School of Law Young Alumni Committee and has supported the school philanthropically, including a lead gift to establish a faculty support fund.
Beyond UGA, she mentors first-generation and low-income college students through the Georgetown Scholars Program and serves on the board of At The Well Project. Through teaching, service and global legal leadership, she works to prepare the next generation of advocates for the challenges of the digital age.
