Biography
A former UGA student-athlete, Drake has dedicated his career to helping fellow student-athletes grow as competitors, students and leaders. After competing for Georgia men’s tennis from 2008-2011 and earning a bachelor’s degree in education, he returned to Athens as an assistant coach before becoming head coach of the women’s tennis program.
Under his leadership, Georgia has captured multiple national championships and continued its tradition as one of the premier programs in collegiate tennis. Yet Drake measures success by more than trophies. He is committed to helping student-athletes develop lifelong skills, pursue academic excellence and engage meaningfully with the campus and Athens communities.
Beyond the tennis court, Drake serves on the UGA Athletic Staff Council, mentors student-athletes and helps create opportunities for alumni and fans to stay connected to the university. A lifelong Bulldog, he views coaching as a chance to strengthen the UGA community while shaping the next generation of leaders, competitors and citizens.
