Travis A. Voyles

Biography

Serving in senior leadership roles at both the state and federal levels, Travis has built a distinguished career in environmental and natural resources policy. As Associate Deputy Administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, he helps oversee agency operations, policy implementation and strategic initiatives that advance environmental protection while supporting economic growth and energy security. Prior to his federal service, Travis made history as the youngest Virginia Secretary of Natural and Historic Resources, leading efforts to expand conservation initiatives, improve permitting processes and strengthen stewardship of the Commonwealth’s natural and historic assets. He credits his education in environmental economics and management with providing the foundation for navigating complex policy challenges and building consensus among diverse stakeholders. Throughout his career, Travis has remained committed to public service, applying a balanced approach to environmental policy while drawing on the leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills he developed as a UGA student-athlete and member of the Bulldog community.
