Biography
Sara is the co-owner and founder of SweetWater Veterinary Hospital, a fast-growing small- and exotic-animal private practice in South Atlanta. Sara oversees a large and varied caseload while leading the clinic’s mentorship program — hosting a rotation of veterinary and pre-vet students from UGA, Auburn, LSU and other veterinary schools. She has served as the chair of the Young Alumni Committee for UGA’s College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) since 2022 and has been on the Alumni Board since 2024. She helped create an alumni-student mentorship program for the CVM as well as an alumni award highlighting veterinary practices that go above and beyond for employee wellness. She was awarded the Distinguished Young Alumni Award by the College of Veterinary Medicine in 2024. In addition to being active in her church and community, she has served as a mentor in the UGA Mentor Program since its inception in 2020 and currently mentors more than 10 students.
