Biography
Public service has defined Clark’s career. After graduating from the Terry College of Business and earning his law degree from the University of Tennessee, he began a professional journey that has taken him from the federal judiciary to state government, the U.S. Senate and the White House.
For the first 19 months of the current administration, he served on the White House policy team, helping develop and implement domestic policy across a broad range of issues, including education, healthcare, public safety, regulatory reform and college sports. Prior to that, he served as a deputy counsel to the governor of Tennessee and later as a senior policy and legal advisor in the U.S. Senate, helping advance bipartisan legislation and major public policy initiatives.
Throughout nearly a decade of public service, he has remained focused on applying sound judgment to issues that affect everyday Americans. An engaged UGA graduate, he regularly mentors students interested in public service and government careers. He credits his Terry College education with providing the practical and analytical foundation that continues to shape his approach to policy and leadership.
