First and foremost, mark your calendar for the awards luncheon – and don’t forget to tell your friends, family members and colleagues. You can even tell your frenemies if you’d like to make them jealous. This year’s keynote speaker is Ernie Johnson (ABJ ’78), co-host of TNT’s “Inside the NBA” and TBS Major League Baseball announcer.

Some of UGA’s schools and colleges will host events the evening before, the morning of and immediately following the luncheon. More information about those networking opportunities will be shared as details are finalized.

Invitations

You will receive two complimentary seats at the luncheon. You will also have the opportunity to reserve a reduced-price table that includes your two complimentary seats. Start planning your entourage now – invitations will be mailed in late July/early August and you will also receive an electronic invitation as well.

In the coming weeks, the UGA Alumni Association will disseminate a news release announcing this year’s class across university and social media outlets. In the meantime, you can download this customizable press release to send to your company, professional organizations, other Alma Maters, and local media outlets. Gameday

We hope you will continue to celebrate with your alma mater through the weekend as the Bulldogs take on Samford University ‘tween the Hedges in Athens. You will be given two complimentary block seating tickets to the game on Saturday, September 16 so you can call the Dawgs with fellow honorees! More details about this opportunity will be emailed to you as September approaches.
