Nyaboke Machini (BSFCS ’11, BBA ’16) joined the Office of Alumni Relations in May 2019 and serves as the Associate Director of Alumni Outreach. She manages and supports alumni signature events Bulldog 100 and 40 Under 40. She is also responsible for executing a stewardship strategy for the Alumni Associations affinity groups, corporate chapters, and student engagement initiatives.
Nyaboke worked as a Counselor and Marketing Intern for the Boys and Girls Club of Athens during her time at UGA. After some time in the public sector, she realized she needed to get back into youth development and in 2011, Nyaboke joined GivingPoint as a Director of Community Outreach. In her ever-evolving role there, she focused on cultivating relationships with students, volunteers, schools, and nonprofit organizations.
Nyaboke holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a bachelor’s degree in fashion merchandising from the University of Georgia. Her sisters, Tukio and Linzi Madala, loved visiting their big sister in college so much that they also graduated from UGA. She is a member of the Dekalb County chapter of the Junior League. She is a Kenya native, but she has called Atlanta home for the past 20 years and considers herself a Kenyan Peach. You can find Nyaboke planning a party, traveling, or at a festival.
