REPORT ON FY 02 BUDGET BILLS

Congress is winding down its work on FY 02 budget bills. UGA priorities are the $10 million federal match for the Coverdell building, agriculture special grants, a $1.2 million request for CLEARMADD, and $250,000 for the Black Belt Initiative.

PLANNING FOR NEXT SESSION

UGA is gearing up for the next session of the state legislature. The University will be pursuing several capital funding projects and will pursue other key objectives, including an increase in salaries for system personnel.
